Established in 1929 by Emil Wohlhaupter for die, mold and machine tool manufacture. Today, Wohlhaupter is well-known internationally as a manufacturer of modular tool systems for machining centers, facing and boring heads, clamping tools as well as standard and special tools for transfer lines.

1965 Precision boring tools and clamping accessories using a rapid replacement system
1973 Development of the world´s first modular tooling system MULTIBORE
1984 The "Special Tool" Team formed
1987 Removal to a new building in Frickenhausen
1989 Introduction of the APD Automatic Facing and Boring Head for machining centres and special machines. One tool - a host of machining options!
1992 Production of the HSK (hollow shank taper) starts
1993 First showing of the aluminium precision boring tool
1999 The EK grooving head - the trail blazing innovation for grooving
2001 Presentation of the new "Combi-Line" tool series
2002 Presentation of a new generation of insert drills with replaceable inserts with four effective cutters
2002 Establishment of the US subsidiary "Wohlhaupter Corp." in Dayton, Ohio (USA)
  2003 Initial presentation of the "DigiBore" precision boring tool with direct traverse measurement and digital display on the occasion of the in-house exhibition.
